But Why?
Because when you've reached a point where you know what the words "helmer " and "melmer " mean, creating a nail blog is the next step in your color swatching , product reviewing mania. It's just the natural progression of things. Ask any nail blogger why they started their own nail blog. If they're honest, they'll confess that it was not completely for altruistic reasons. Somewhere inside each of us is a desperate need to justify all the bottles of polish we have stashed away in drawers and containers.
I know I do.
That, and I need to relieve the guilt that washes over me when I open a bottle and my dog immediately jumps and runs away from me, nose twitching at the enamel scented assault.
You won't find beautiful nails here, friend. I wish I had perfectly shaped, expertly polished nails to photograph like other nail bloggers do. I'm going to throw it out there right away: my nails are hideous! Sometimes they're soft, pitted, peeling, jagged, uneven, and/or being chaperoned to the event by several prominent hang- nails. That's just the way it goes. Every so often I try and give my nails a break, but I always relapse and hit the bottle again at some point. You can expect my polish application to be of a more.... "relaxed" nature. Polish pooling over onto my cuticles is commonplace with me. I just accept it. (It wears off, eventually.)
Damn..... You won't find any cool nail art here, either. Although I am an admirer of it, I don't know jack about how it's done.
All I can do is show you pics of whatever the hell I did to my nails that week. I can let you know my honest opinions of new nail colors when I can get my paws on them. Each of my posts on a color will show gemstone colors that I think compliment it, as well as a color palate for those who care to match their clothes to their nail color. I'm that anal sometimes, Maybe you are, too.
Lastly, you can count on this: whenever I can, I will post pics that have absolutely nothing to do with anything I'm writing about. I'll post them just because they made me laugh and I have to show you.
